Young shluchim across the globe depend on the programs of The Shluchim Office.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Tzeirei Hashluchim Winter Camp, formerly in Oracle, Arizona and now located in Southern Florida, is for sons of shluchim ages 7-13. The camp takes place for 10 days corresponding to most schools' mid-winter vacation. Experienced, Chasidishe head staff and counselors will direct the camp.

Campsite amenities include state of the art camp grounds, air-conditioned buildings, a game room, huge heated swimming pool, lake with canoes, 7-acre paintball field, boardwalk and nature trails, basketball and beach volleyball courts, two challenge towers, high-low ropes courses, climbing tower, and a children's playground.  The campsite is located 30 minutes from Palm Beach International airport on the Gold Coast Campsite, in Lake Worth, Florida.

Rates

Rates per camper (includes a camp sweatshirt, excludes airfare):
By November 30th: $400
After November 30th: $490
This minimal charge helps defray part of the cost of camp. We recommend you register as early as possible.
 

Shluchim Online School Special - All Grades!

Each year, there will be special class reunions for students of the Nigri International Shluchim Online School. Winter camp is a unique opportunity for Online School students to join their fellow classmates in person and to enjoy 10 days of friendship and fun together. 

By November 30th: $290
After November 30th: $390

 

Transportation

FLYING:

Arrival: Monday, December 17, 2018
Arrival is in Palm Beach International airport (PBI) between 9am and 12:30pm.

Departure (after camp): Tuesday, December 25, 2018
All campers should be on flights departing between 6:30am and 12:30pm.
 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Palm Beach International airport (PBI) is closer and more convenient to our campsite and we have arranged transport during the above time frames based on incoming flights.

If flights to Fort Lauderdale airport (FLL) are more advantageous, please let us know your intended flight times so we can arrange for transportation. 

If your child is flying as an unaccompanied minor, we will provide the names for “child release” at a later date.
 

DRIVING:

Arrival: Monday, December 17, 2018
Drop off at the Gold Coast Campsite, 7495 Park Lane Rd, Lake Worth, FL from 9am to 12:30pm.

Departure (after camp): Tuesday, December 25, 2018
Pick up at the Gold Coast Campsite, 7495 Park Lane Rd, Lake Worth, FL between 6:30am and 12:30pm
 

Packing List

SEVERAL IMPORTANT NOTES:

All clothing should be clearly marked with first and last name.
There are no laundry facilities available on the campsite.  Please send along enough sufficient clothing.

Average temperatures in Florida in the wintertime range from 55-75 degrees.  Please ensure that you send a warm sleeping bag or blanket.

Due to numerous food allergies, please do not send any peanut-related foods or snacks with your child.

We ask you not to allow your child to bring valuable items (iPods, digital cameras or similar) and take no responsibility for missing items. If your child is traveling with important documents (passport, birth certificate or similar) please ensure these are left with a parent.

In addition to the above cautions about valuable items, please note that Tzeirei Hashluchim Winter Camp does not allow smartphones or internet-enabled devices such as iPads, PSPs or other tablets. Please do not send these devices with your son – they will be confiscated and returned to a parent. If you would like him to have a phone for safety reasons, please ensure it does not have Internet capabilities.
